Getting a PTZ cam to work properly can be accomplished easily with the Tayama Software.
Just hook up the camera, hook it to a RS-232 Converter to a com port on the pc. Then pick the proper protocol or
if yours isn't on there, you can manually input the commands(taken from the manual or manufacturer)and add them to your
custom list of protocols.

Here's the main Screen of the PTZ Control. You can get here by going to Setup, then clicking the Pan/Tilt tab at the top of the screen
If you have the PTZ cam, and you know which protocol it uses, check this list and see if it is in there.

If you cannot find the protocol to match your specific camera, or you know you will need to input a custom one.
This is where the user can input custom commands for their PTZ
cams.
