Playback of VideosHere I will cover how to playback recorded video, this also applies to video backed up and viewed with Tayama Searcher, as they use the same GUI. For link to Searchering in Tayama Server Locally CLICK HERE Playback of video using Tayama Searcher is very simple. After you've backed up video using the backup method, you will then take the burned cd to a PC with Tayama Searcher installed and insert the cd into the drive. Next you will run Tayama Searcher and it will open with a dialog like below, you will then select the CD-RW Drive with the data youve burned as backup, and click OK when it becomes highlighted.
Now that you've told Tayama Searcher where the video data that you backed up and burned to a CD-RW is it should then open the familiar Search interface that you see on the Tayama Server. LOCAL PLAYBACK OF VIDEO ON THE DVR SERVERWhen you want to search or playback your videos, on the main screen click on SEARCH, and it will bring you here. The main screen for search is presented below. On the lower left you have your Cameras (Cam1, Cam2, etc), you can also click the ALL above the cameras show all cam's for playback. Or you may simply check cam1 and cam3 to show those 2 cameras only. You also have your Timeline(Blue bar) which shows how much video is there. Above the blue bar is a timeline, showing what time the video was recorded at. You can click on the red slider bar and drag it back and forth to put it on the specific time you would like to playback. Additionally you can double click on the time bar and it will break down the timeline into increments of hours, half hours, and down to minutes. You also have a calendar on the right side, and below that there is an hour and minute check boxes. With this you can select a date on the calendar, and then adjust the time to playback that specific date/time.
You can also backup a still image of what's currently displayed in the playback area.(JPEG or BMP) To save a picture, simply select the channel you want to save a picture of, and click backup, and it will prompt you where to save, and you must specify a filename, then either save as a BMP or a JPG. You can also print the current picture, by clicking print, if you have already installed and configured the printer.
