| How to configure Multiple Displays
The easiest way to configure dual displays is as follows: Power off the DVR. Hook up the RCA and VGA cables from the monitor and TV to the video card outputs. Power on PC Monitor, and TV. Then turn on the DVR. It will automatically recognize the second output, and configure itself to do a dual display setup. In the event that it doesn't automatically setup the dual display mode, the manual way to set this up is as follows. First exit out of Tayama software. On the Desktop, Right click anywhere, and go to properties, then select settings, then go to advanced. Once on the advanced screen select displays, and this is where it will look like. ![]()
Now the Monitor is in red, because there is one hooked up, but not activated. Once you have one hooked up, you will see the button is pushed in, and its turned green.
Now all you would have to do if you wanted to have a computer monitor and a TV or security monitor, you would select both displays so they are both green and pressed down, and select the bulls eye circle in the upper left of the 4 options, to set them both on primary display. If you do not do this, you will most likely get display on your second monitor/TV, but you will not see the live video capture . So make sure you set both displays to primary display. Side note: The image quality on the TV will not be as it is on the computer monitor, because even though the video cards support TV out, they are not made specifically for TV's, as a TV cannot support the resolution modes that a CRT Monitor can. You will see some graininess or blurriness on the TV/Security Monitor.
